Shelby Swatek

High-tech Copywriter and Editor

A seasoned copywriter with a B.A in English from Bryn Mawr College and
nearly a decade in high-tech marketing, Shelby Swatek has first-hand experience communicating complex technology features and benefits to a variety of audiences. Her technical capacity, marketing savvy, and strong writing skills enable Shelby to create marketing materials that speak clearly to C-level executives and end users alike. Underpinning her high-tech marketing savvy is Shelby's marketing communications and product marketing background; areas of expertise include marketing collateral creation, case study development, online and channel marketing, product launches, publicity, and corporate branding. Shelby regularly demonstrates her research and analysis, writing, editing, and project management skills across a range of technical subject areas: she has produced pieces covering an array of technologies and industries, including computer hardware and software, enterprise solutions, e-commerce, telecommunications, and manufacturing.

On a professional and personal level, Shelby looks to her father, Phillip M. Swatek, a former journalist published in National Geographic, who rose to the position of Washington Bureau Chief for The Cincinnati Enquirer, now promoting his first novel, The Pontotoc Conspiracy, and her mother, Margaret Harris Swatek, a Wellesley College graduate. Shelby's sister, Randall, an accomplished senior advertising copywriter and creative director based in Wilton, Connecticut, is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and has been published in The New York Times.
